Relationships

At the heart of Italian culture is a deep value for relationships. Our strategy begins with intentional presence and genuine connection within our city. We seek to build trust by frequently visiting local cafés, connecting through common interests such as fitness and spending time in neighborhood piazzas. Through these authentic relationships, we aim to LOVE people genuinely as Christ loves us and naturally INTRODUCE them to the life-changing hope of the gospel.

As we become established in the language and culture, we plan to host outreach events designed to connect with our local community. These events will include activities such as outdoor game nights and citywide scavenger hunts that foster relationships and build a sense of community. Our focus will be on engaging young families and teenagers, recognizing that children are central to Italian family life. By investing in the next generation and helping them GROW as disciples, we hope to build trust with parents and open doors for the gospel within the home.

The local church is God’s primary means for reaching the world. We plan to partner with and serve alongside other BBFI missionaries, a couple that has faithfully shared the gospel and made disciples in Florence for over ten years. Together with them and other local Italian churches, we aim to HELP PLANT NEW CHURCHES and TRAIN ministry leaders who will CARRY THE LIGHT OF JESUS TO THE HEART OF ITALY.
